ABOUT OUR FIRM

We at Harrington Brewster & Clein, P.C. formed our firm in the early 1990’s. The firm consists of three attorneys, Terri Harrington, Cynthia E. Brewster and Carrie Clein. We have each practiced over twenty years. We specialize in serving clients when they are in transitions or crises and limit our practice to the areas of family, and criminal defense law. We are also experts in mediation and Collaborative Family Law.

As family lawyers, we understand the need to keep the emotional as well as financial costs under control in domestic matters. We help families work through issues without unnecessary fighting and positioning. We assist clients in making well-informed decisions and finding workable solutions. We also understand the need to protect children from the conflict, and to strive to work in a way that provides stability for them.

We participate in and encourage methods of alternative dispute resolution in the area of family law. This includes the methods of both Collaborative Family Law and Mediation. Each attorney in our firm is trained in both the techniques of Collaborative Family Law and Mediation (Please go to “Areas of Practice” for further information on Collaborative Family Law and Mediation).

As criminal defense attorneys, we provide aggressive representation. We are highly skilled at addressing relevant criminal issues in the courtroom. We have the experience necessary to effectively present your case to both a judge and a jury.

Experience has taught us, however, that in effective criminal representation aggressive representation does not always mean combative representation. We take a proactive approach to criminal representation by aggressively pursuing every avenue available in each case. Independent case investigation and exploration of creative alternatives provide each client with comprehensive assessment of his case so that informed decisions can be made.
